You just finished a blog post that you have spent many hours working on. Now what do you do? Do you wait for your blog to be organically found among the millions of blog articles written each and every day? That could take a long time for anyone to find your blog. Here are a few tips for things that you should do right after completing your blog so others are able to find and enjoy your hard work:
Include the perfect image: Did you know that articles with images get 94 percent more total views? Once you have finished your article, take a glance over it again and see if you have any images. If not, make sure to add the perfect image that will entice your visitors to want to actually read your article.
Tell the world you just made a new blog post: Make sure to spread your posts out throughout the day to hit multiple time zones. If you are wanting to be able to inform as many people as possible about your new blog post, you need to be aware that people all over the world will have access to your announcements. So posting about your new article at different times of the day will give the most amount of people access to your notices.
Talk about your blog topic in forums and twitter discussions: It’s OK to post the same content to Twitter more than once a day. Twitter moves fast people! It’s appropriate to push something multiple times because the speed and noise create constant diversity in content.
Share your new blog post with your social network: Twitter is obviously not the only place to post your links. Share that awesome photo you included in your blog post with a link to the post on any social sites you, and your customers, visit most frequently. Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin, and Instagram are just a few of the most popular sites. You might even create a Vine or YouTube video about your post, with a link back to your blog. Don’t be afraid to share, share, share and share some more. Your social network gives you the capability to reach different audiences and gives you the chance to tailor your status updates for each individual community.
Talk with other bloggers who are blogging about your topic: There is a huge blogging community out there and it can highly benefit you to make nice with other bloggers. Commenting on other bloggers articles helps to build those relationships so when the time comes you can contact those bloggers and ask them to share your blog on their blog. Building relationships with other bloggers and sharing each other’s articles is a win-win situation for everyone involved.
When it comes down to it, there really are 2 simple rules to follow after you have written a blog post; Write a blog post and then tell people you wrote a blog post. There are many different ways and avenues to share information. Decide what works best for you and get your reward for all the hard work you put into your article.
